- About the Project
Closing the gap in men's health through evidence and honesty
Welcome to More Time for Old Men. We are dedicated to helping men over 60 maximize their functional longevity. Our goal isn’t just living longer, it’s living better for as long as possible.
Our Mission
More Time For Old Men is dedicated to evaluating information related to functional longevity in men over 60. We use evidence-based methods and a holistic approach to provide clear, actionable recommendations that can optimize quality of life.
- Definition: Functional Longevity
“Adding life to your years, not just years to your life. Remaining functionally strong, mobile, cognitively sharp, and independent in your later years.”
- The "Healthcare Gap"
Why a specialized focus on men over 60 is necessary
As a retired physician, I’ve noticed a significant structural gap. Women’s health receives substantial attention with specialized care through OB/GYN starting in their teens. Women have built in healthcare touchpoints often twice yearly.
Men lack equivalent resources. Men often don’t see a urologist until their 50s or 60s, if ever. There simply isn’t an equivalent specialty focused on men’s comprehensive health needs. This disparity is striking given that women outlive men by an average of six years.
Women's Health
Specialized care from adolescence (OB/GYN)
Men's Health
Often no specialist until 50s/60s (Urology)

Core Philosophy
Clear principles based on established science and informed speculation.
Editorial Independence
No sponsorships or financial arrangements with health related companies. Recommendations are based solely on research, not commercial interests.
Less is More
Organs don’t process food as efficiently after 60. We advocate for calorie restriction, nutrient dense whole foods, and intermittent fasting.
Age Adjusted Training
You can’t train like you’re 30. We focus on walking, light resistance, and maintaining function rather than athletic performance.
All Medical Evidence Is Not Created Equal
Not all health studies carry equal weight. We filter out weak claims and focus on high-quality clinical evidence to provide clear, reliable guidance for your health decisions.
